About us

More than
just a publisher.

ArcInk is a start-up publishing company for manga, comics and web novels. We're not a hosting site where creators upload and fend for themselves. We're a publishing company with our own digital platform, closer to Shonen Jump's digital model, with a lot more besides.

Our vision is an ecosystem where talented creators build an audience, earn meaningful income and get the support they need to grow their careers.

Our statement

ArcInk is more than a platform.
It's a movement.

We're building a creator-first home for the next generation of manga, manhwa and comic creators: a place where artists keep ownership, feel supported, reach readers around the world and build careers that last, without the pressures of traditional publishing.

Why we exist

Publishing has been failing its creators

Buried by the crowd

Great series disappear beneath thousands of other titles, and readers never find new creators.

Little creative freedom

Stories get bent towards trends and tropes to fit what already sells.

Burnout schedules

Relentless weekly deadlines wear creators down until the work suffers.

Pay that doesn't add up

Compensation rarely matches the hours that go into every page.

Rights signed away

Publishers often keep the intellectual property creators built.

Cancelled too soon

Series are cut on short-term numbers, and stories are left unfinished.

How it works

A curated publisher, not an endless catalogue

We choose our titles. Our first wave is around 30–50 series, not thousands, so every one of them sits at the front of the platform. Early creators won't get buried: you get far more exposure from day one.

Readers start for free. The first three chapters of every series are free. After that, readers unlock chapters with Arc Coins, or subscribe for £2.99 a month to read everything (£1.99 for life for our first 5,000 subscribers).

More than pages. Series can bring in music, video, quizzes and links to the creator's socials alongside the story, and creators can sell merchandise in Arc Market.

Chapter sales
80% to you

Every chapter a reader buys with Arc Coins: you keep 80% of what your series earns.

Subscriptions · the Creative Pool
Shared by how much readers read you

A £2.99 subscription unlocks the whole catalogue, so instead of a fixed cut per subscriber, 60% of subscription revenue goes into the Creative Pool (ArcInk keeps 40%). The pool is shared between creators by reading activity: the more readers engage with your series, the bigger your share. With a deliberately small catalogue, the pool isn't diluted across thousands of titles.

Looking ahead

Growing with our creators

A creator support team

As we secure funding, we'll build a dedicated team of artists and industry professionals offering editorial guidance, artistic support, feedback and mentorship.

Reinvesting in your series

Part of our growth goes back into creators and titles: marketing, editorial support, artistic development, translations and creator bonuses.

A monthly magazine

Longer term, a monthly ArcInk magazine with a chapter from each series, as Jump does, with the goal of reaching physical stores.

We're at the beginning. Creators who join now come on board at the start of what will become a much larger publishing ecosystem, which is why we're selective about the first series we bring on.

Questions from creators

Frequently asked

Is ArcInk a hosting site like WEBTOON Canvas?

No. We're a publishing company with our own digital platform. We choose a curated set of series (around 30–50 in our first wave) and work with their creators, rather than hosting an unlimited catalogue.

Do I keep the rights to my work?

Yes. You keep ownership of your intellectual property. We only take the rights needed to publish and share your work on ArcInk, and those are set out in a contract you agree to before anything is published.

How does monetisation work?

The first three chapters of every series are free. After that, readers unlock chapters with Arc Coins (you receive 80% of what your series earns from chapter sales) or subscribe for £2.99 a month. Subscription revenue feeds the Creative Pool, shared between creators by how much their series is read. Fans can also tip you directly, and you receive 90% of every tip.

How does the Creative Pool work?

60% of subscription revenue goes into the pool and ArcInk keeps 40%. The pool is divided between creators according to reading activity: if your series accounts for a large share of what subscribers read, you receive a correspondingly large share of the pool.

Do I need a finished series to apply?

No. A synopsis, a few sample chapters and your portfolio are enough to start a conversation with us.

Will ArcInk act as a traditional publisher?

No forced deadlines and no forced editorial changes. We provide the platform, the readers and, as we grow, editorial and artistic support; you keep control of your story.

When does the platform launch?
